When I was searching for commercial space to rent, it quickly became obvious that many places weren’t accessible for wheelchair users like me and that sparked an idea… What if there was a fully accessible place to rent dedicated to housing disability service providers? The space, located on Marryatt Street Port Adelaide, offers a spacious communal café area affectionately known as ‘The Noshery’. The Noshery includes considered features such lowered benches, sensor opening bin, pull-out draw dishwasher, table with good leg clearance, and an awesome coffee machine with under bench access.
co-able also boasts a high-tech soundproof meeting room with video conference facilities, a stunning accessible bathrooms with high-end fixtures and fittings, and it is also the Adelaide base for accessibility business Push Mobility.

The location is a convenient 20-minute drive from Adelaide’s CBD and only 300m from the closest train station from which the path to co-able is flat with great footpaths and curb cut-outs with tactile pads. Just 50m down the road is Port Plaza shopping centre so you could do some shopping or have some lunch while you’re out and about.
